The Mystical Life of the Visionary of Divine Mercy
This film is about the newly canonized (2000) St. Faustina of Poland, a mystic who was a member of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy. The story is taken from her spiritual diary in which she records her visions and experiences. The film is in Polish but it has English (and Spanish) subtitles. The film is artistically beautiful with some unusual visual symbolic elements. But above all the acting of Faustina is outstanding and captures your attention so much you hardly notice the subtitles. This film won the Best Feature Film at the Catholic Film Festival in 1995.
Extras
This film, in addition to having the subtitles in English and Spanish, has a documentary which takes you to the places where St. Faustina lived, worked and prayed. It also includes some historical photographs.
